Thermae Celebrates 15 Years of "Imagining the Best Version of You"
15 years ago someone told me that 90% of startups fail within the first five years. In the back of my mind I made it a goal to be successful five years at a time. This October marks Thermae’s third five-year cycle.
Success has many definitions depending on the individual. To me, it is defined by how happy I am with what I am doing. There is nothing I love more than knowing I have brightened a client’s day or helped them to feel more confident after a visit to Thermae. When clients are happy, I'm successful.
Thermae was founded on the desire to help clients imagine the best version of themselves, inside and out. Seeing transformations take place immediately may give a sense of instant gratification, but the greatest reward is witnessing the evolution of a client's beauty and self-confidence over the years as they continue to visit us.
I might be bragging, but our clients, male and female, look remarkable as they get older. It is my pleasure to share one of these ageless beauties with you.
Bonnie: world class triathlete, Thermae client, and ageless beauty
I met the ever-so-lovely Bonnie, in 2009. She came to us with a common skin issue called melasma, a hyperpigmentation condition causing uneven discolouration throughout the face. In addition, she was soon to turn 40 and wanted to be proactive in caring for her skin.
It makes my job easy when clients understand the need to be proactive. It's the habitual skincare regimen you do at home enhanced by visits to our clinic three to four times a year that creates lifelong results.
I've always admired Bonnie's healthy habits, her athleticism (she's a world class triathlete) and her passion for experiencing life to its fullest.
Oh, and her great fashion sense. Can't forget that!
It's not uncommon to see discolouration to the skin when exposed to the sun for long periods of time. We started Bonnie on a skincare program that targeted the pigmentation. She used Vivier Skin Tx every day for up to six months, combined with regular in-clinic chemical peels (a resurfacing treatment to reduce the buildup of dead skin cells, encouraging new skin cells to appear).
The results were outstanding. The pigmentation reduced and her skin became smooth and glowing. Bonnie has been committed to using Vivier Skin Tx periodically to restore her skin for several years.

The time following her 40th birthday she allowed me to treat the hollowing that was slowly appearing around the temples and folds around the mouth. Like most endurance athletes, facial fat is scarce and can cause facial hollows.
With a conservative amount of injectable filler to strategic areas, we have maintained Bonnie's natural, youthful look for years.
